Proejct Overview

A better approach to everyday money transfers.

Wallet-X is a digital wallet platform that enables direct transfers between individuals and groups without relying on traditional banking channels. I worked across product design and development, shaping the experience around accessibility and ease of use.

The goal was to bring essential financial interactions into one cohesive product while keeping everyday transactions simple and approachable.

The Challenge

Making everyday financial interactions less complicated.

Traditional money transfer experiences can involve unnecessary steps, complicated interfaces, and friction between simple actions. Users need a more direct way to send money, manage payments, and keep track of transactions. Wallet-X presented an opportunity to rethink these interactions around the convenience of digital wallets.

Design Approach

A simpler way to move money.

User Needs

Understanding what users need from their wallet.

  • Send money directly between wallets.
  • Access frequently used contacts quickly.
  • Verify recipients before confirming transfers.
  • View balances and transaction history clearly.
  • Manage personal and group payments.
  • Request money through a simple flow.
  • Switch between light and dark themes.

Design Principles

The principles behind the experience.

01

Make everyday transfers fast, straightforward, and effortless.

02

Minimize errors through clear information and confirmation steps.

03

Build trust with transparent transaction details and status feedback.

04

Support personal transfers, group payments, and money requests.

05

Maintain a consistent experience across light and dark themes.

Information Architecture

Mapping the experience before designing the screens.

I mapped the primary user journeys to understand how features, roles, and interactions connect. This helped establish the product structure early, identify the key steps in each journey, and ensure the different flows worked together as one cohesive experience.

Interface Design

From product structure to interface design.

With the user journeys and visual direction established, I translated the product requirements into detailed interface designs. I focused on clear hierarchy, consistent components, and intuitive interactions, while keeping the designs practical for development and implementation.

Key Takeaways

Bringing design and development together.

Wallet-X brought together product thinking, interaction design, and development in one project. Working across the entire process allowed me to consider both the user experience and its technical implementation, resulting in a cohesive digital wallet concept focused on clarity, accessibility, and everyday usability.
